Workshops & Facilitation

Our team has deep expertise working with schools, districts, and organizations, to support the development of policies, practices, and mindsets, that support inclusive, anti-racist, and Culturally Responsive-Sustaining Education (CRSE) environments where all individuals feel affirmed, valued, and a sense of belonging.

1

Building a School Culture of Antiracism & Equity

This series offers a broad overview of key concepts related to race and racism, fostering shared language and community agreements. It encourages critical self-reflection and provides opportunities for participants to share their experiences navigating issues of race and racism. Our approach centers on creating equitable, inclusive, and culturally responsive learning environments that empower stakeholders to develop as equity-minded leaders.

2

Building Capacity to Implement Culturally Responsive and Sustaining Practices

This series introduces participants to the theory and practice of Culturally Responsive-Sustaining Education (CSRE). Participants will establish a foundational understanding of CRSE, engage in activities to deepen their skills and practices, learn to utilize CRSE tools and resources, and engage in critical self reflection on their practices.

3

School Equity Team Development

Our workshops often discover that the leap from knowledge to transformation in schoolwide culture and practices requires more than isolated training of individual staff. To support the creation of Equity Teams, we have developed a series that guides a team through this process. The workshop focuses on: Developing and adopting Working Definitions, equity strategy and goal setting, reviewing data for disproportionate impact, Student- and Community-Centric design strategies, and writing an equity impact assessment and implementation plan.

4

Culturally  Responsive - Sustaining Learning Community

The Culturally Responsive Learning Community (CRLC) is designed to build the capacity of school equity teams to create a CRSE vision and implementation plan for their school communities. Participants attend monthly online workshop sessions that will include time for team coaching and action planning.

5

Affinity Spaces

Our team has longstanding expertise developing and sustaining culturally affinity spaces for schools and organizations. Our spaces support communities to create inclusive and brave spaces to engage in critical conversations through difference.
